Musical Fingerprints

Does Cheating Death Cheat Witnessing Bystanders?
On the drive home, I witnessed a miracle.  A suicidal squirrel ran across the street, under a speeding VW Bug, and into the Bug’s right rear moving tire.  It bounced off the tire, landed beneath the car as the car zoomed over it and then ran up a tree, as if it planned that course of action the whole time.  The garden gnome looked unimpressed by the stunt.  I was relieved, but at the same time...
